Dark Burl Walnut or Bamboo Anthracite for 328i convertible

First post, so apologies if this is the wrong forum.

Trying to pick between 2 choices of interior trim.

328i convertible with MSport, Nav, Premium pkg
Exterior: Alpine white
Interior: Black Dakota Leather

I have a choice of 2 cars with otherwise similar config - Dark Burl Walnut or Bamboo Anthracite. Unfortunately I cannot see the cars in person, and can only see configurations in the BMW website.

Any photos or suggestions that can help me make a decision?

Does Anthracite on Black leather make it too dark? Thanks.

Dark Burl Walnut or Bamboo Anthracite for 328i convertible

I have a coupe rather than a vert and leather is saddle brown, but I have the dark burl walnut and really like it. I thought about going with the bamboo when I specced it out and decided I wanted a little more brown color, but that went well with my seat surfaces. In your case, with black leather, the bamboo may be the better choice. Check out a few dealership websites and find examples of both cars with real pictures, as that may help you decide. If I can get this app to work correctly, I'm attaching a picture of the interior of my car.

Bamboo in my book, I don't like the Saddle with Dark Burl as it is 2 different browns that don't match well in my book - the Dark Gray looks better with the saddle.

It is also more unique as the dealers only do Dark or Light Burl in all the standard order cars, so you don't see the Bamboo very often.

Interesting. To me, shades of brown match and compliment each other better than brown against gray. But, that's just my book

Bamboo would go great with black interior.

Thanks for the replies. Looks like I was not paying enough attention to the specs after all.

Choice 1: Dark burl walnut with premium stereo but no parking sensors
Choice 2: Bamboo anthracite with parking sensors but no premium stereo

Does that change anything?

Btw one thing that I am surprised with is that there is no way to get rear camera with the 328i convertible? Is it because the car is small and with the top open you don't need a rear camera? Had it in my previous camera and loved it. Guess having the parking sensors help?

Tough one, depends on how you like your music, I find the standard stereo weak, sounds ok at lower volumes, but top down on the highway can run out of steam pretty quick, I don't think I would do the convertible without premium sound. Parking sensors are nice, but I could live without them and they can also be retrofitted as can a rearview camera if you have NAV, premium sound isn't worth retrofitting and you would have to go aftermarket.

I would worry more about those options than the trim color as the trim can either be swapped out or covered with another color if you did not like it much easier than the other options being fixed and neither trim looks bad, I just prefer the gray, but wouldn't let it dictate the other options.

Yes. Do not be without good sound.

Parking sensors are nice, but in such a tiny vehicle, strictly a luxury. Van, Yes. S550, yes. 335i, especially top down, not so much. And you'll have that top down at any opportunity, it's that good.

Hey! Do the suspension - you'll have more fun.

Thanks so much folks. I think I will go with the one with premium sound based on your replies. If I really have issues with the trim I will swap it out - I only learnt from this forum that swapping the trim is not that hard :-)
