Does the M-Sport trim mean no front radar available?

Yes.

If you want front radar on your 2014 F30/F31, you cannot get it with the M-Sport option because of the way the front bumper is shaped.

However, the camera located near the interior rear-view mirror can estimate whether you are approaching a car ahead of you too quickly. Is it as accurate as radar? Not likely.

For MY 2013 the front radar (Adaptive Cruise Control with Stop and Go) is not available on the M-Sport in the United States. Also not available on the AH3 for 2013 (regardless of location I believe). In MY 2014 I think both of these restrictions have changed - for the US it can be ordered for M-Sport and on all AH3.

I've been paying attention to this because I wanted M-Sport and ACC for my 2013 and also am not interested in an AH3 perhaps (M-Sport as well)...

There is conflicting info on the 2014 models, but there have been postings from people who say they have ordered the configuration. I remain a skeptic until I see a US spec in this configuration.
Thanks for the above pic; it is the first I have seen. Since it looks like the taller US plate might impede on the sensor's operation, I wonder if this is the potential problem with equipping a US model this way?

I orderd a 2014 MSport with Active Cruise w/ Stop & Go. Ship supposedly docs tomorrow. Order guides confirm it as well.

Now why can't US 328's have the little black rectangle there in the opening?
