What comes with my F30?

Upon taking delivery, which items are "accessories", that come included?

- Y cable for iPhone/iPod
- Mats
- Tank of gas

What else? And are these all included?

Thanks!

you do get floormats.

You get plain black floormats, (no BMW logo on them). You get 2 Keys. A binder that has the manual for the car, and navigation (if so equipped). There is a toolkit in the trunk on the right hand side, inside the compartment where the battery is. I kept the window sticker with the options (this is before I knew about the russian site where you can print out all of your options, even ones that do not show up on the sticker). I think thats about all of the stuff that "comes with" it. You can attempt to get your dealer to throw in other stuff, but you would have already discussed this with them.

Thats about it, I think...I dont know about the y cable as I have enhanced bluetooth so I know they do not provide it for you there.

Edit: I also received a tank of gas, but I am not sure if that is mandatory, or was a dealer thing. I used to think it was mandatory, but people doing euro delivery have stated they only get 4 ish gallons of gas, so obviously at least over there it is not mandatory. It might be here in the US though....

Okay! I'm okay with the gas since it's a difference of like 30-50, but the mats and y cable are expensive (and inconvenient if they don't come with!)

Thanks!

I did not get Y cable when I picked up f30 last August. Is it even needed? I'm using plain USB cable with iPod.

Y cable is needed in some circumstances when you do not have enhanced USB.

At least for mine (ED) I got the following
In Europe
2 Key fobs
Emergency Triangle (mounted in trunk, required by law in Germany)
Emergency Medical Kit
"Leather bound" car manual/folder
Tool-kit (it's in a compartment on the right side of the trunk, kind of hard to find if you don't know where)
and a big fat grin

Upon redelivery, in the US, I got:
Another owners manual (much smaller)
Full tank of gas (at PCD, good thing cause I dropped the car off with less than 40 miles worth of gas in Germany)
Plain cloth floor-mats (no BMW logo)
iPod Y-Cable (in glove compartment)
ED license plates
Another big fat grin

ED 1/2 tank is at The Welt. Upon redelivery, in the US, I got a full tank. This was at the PCD.

My F30 came with all that, plus the $750 loyalty discount (third bimmer from my dealer) plus the $500 rebate from BMW-USA, for being a member, in 'good standing' for a year, of the BMW CCA (which I joined in 1996). My previous rebate, also for a 3-series, was $1000 but that was a decade ago. I was also surprised to find, on my stripper sport-six 320i, power front seat bolsters (on manual seats), rain-sensing windshield wipers, and non-enhanced BlueTooth.

My dealer gave me a $30 gift certificate for their in-house gift shop. I got an aluminum BMW coffee mug and a BMW baseball cap.

Yeah, I know. When you buy a $50,000 car, a $30 gift certificate is nothing, but I still thought it was really cool.

It actually has nothing to do with a lightning connector. If you don't have "enhanced USB" you need the Y cable for any ipod or iphone. In fact, the Y cable has the old style 30 pin connector and if you have an iphone/ipod with lightning, you have to also buy the 30 pin to lightning adapter from Apple.

If you have enhanced USB, all you need is the regular old USB cable that came with your phone, either 30 pin or lightning - no Y adapter necessary.

I am expecting some sort of service/warranty information booklet. I wonder if ED cars get the Moroney price sticker (if not, thanks to a fellow bimmerfester, I have a replica sheet of paper). Also, I wonder if the German title comes and if there's a tire warranty brochure

Received in the mail a USB flash drive from BMWUSA about a month after we picked up our car - had a hefty feel to it and of course the Roundel on the cover. I've used it download our driver preferences from the iDrive.

I am curious as to how you then make use of that information. And the capacity of the flash drive.

You can back up your preferences to restore them if anything happens to the original entered settings.

The flash drive is 2GB IIRC.

In addition to what Elk said, you can also then upload those settings to a loaner F30 and have all the same radio presets, etc., as your personal car.

I did this. The seat, mirrors, and all the presets adjusted to my preferred settings. Way cool.

I would like to know what U.S. and Canadian customers get. I took European delivery last month and redeliver in the U.S.

2 key fobs
warning trianble mounted in the trunk
first aid kit placed in the trunk
owner's manual and case, also radio manual, abbreviated manual, etc.
tool kit
European delivery paperwork, 10 euro voucher for the gift shop, key ring, Umweltplakette (German environmental sticker for the city center)
mounted German Zoll license plates
About 40% tank of gas
U.S. front and rear license plate brackets (but no screws)

On redelivery
service and warranty book (but I also expected, but did not get a tire warranty brochure)
full tank of gas
battery log, Monroney price sticker (two)
German Zoll license plates in the trunk
rear license plate backing installed, front one installed after dealer asked
sticker on window warning not to use non-BMW parts and lists the BMW roadside assistance number
sticker in the trunk listing BMW roadside assistance
German title and paperwork. Missing was the paper window sticker that they made on drop off which shows my name, VIN, port, and the drop off agent's logo

Were the warning triangle and first-aid kit still there on redelivery? When I did ED with my car I was advised to take them with me as they would be removed when they got here.
