extremely budget 325i

So i joined here a while ago and never really did anything so i figured I'd start a thread with the progress my cars made so far and have a place to keep track of it should it progress further.

(also sorry most of the pictures have been pre instagramed)

The day I bought it. 302,000 miles but running great

nothing really changed for a while, just drove it for the first couple months

at about 310,000 the m50 decided it had pretty much had enough

so because i have awesome friends I got an m52 swap for almost nothing

m52 obd1 swapped and in the car and I found an m bumper

at about 313.000 the subframe decided it no longer wanted to be attached to the floor

that bolt with the metal around it is supposed to be in that hole

everything welded up and reinforced

had the car on the road for 2 days then realized a vent tube on the gas tank was leaking gas

how it currently sits after the replacement of some suspension bushings and a set of coilovers, and some paint on the wheels

once again sorry for the awful pictures. The body has a lot of miles so its not the prettiest thing to look at anyway. Its my first BMW and has kind of been thrown together on the cheap with parts that friends really didnt need/want anymore. I'm really sure what the future holds for the car, some days I'm sick of it and want to get rid of it, and other days I want to keep doing stuff to it, so who knows.

nice job doing that on a budget. Mine is a budget project with more cosmetic issues than mechanical. Only had it for a week and have already thrown over 1K into it.

yeah the money seems to disappear quickly. I've had this for a little over a year and even with the price of buying the car I have less than 4 grand in it at this point. The cosmetic aspect was kind of struggling when i got, it had been hit before I got it so my main goal is that it looks ok from far away.

The body is not too bad for +310K and an accident.

My repair list is pretty long for my 328i and I have only had it for about 2 months
