Well, went to work on a bolt that busted off under the car. I tell you what, my luck with bolts is terrible. It was one of the ones that holds the support bracket for the exhaust pipes.. Drilled it out.. this one took longer than the damn tranny fill plug and drain plug, combined..

But its out, bought a longer new one with a bolt since the threads were damaged. Will just be easier to bolt that bitch back on..

Just waiting on tranny filter, gasket and drain plug to come. Then im good to go...

This thread is better than cable TV! ou18 is the hero and the evil doers are the bolts.

Instead of a gun he uses what the evil doers fear the most... a can of WD-40 and/or a drill.

Booyaaahhh bolts beware. New filtran filter, drain plug and gasket have arrived. You have met your match. Tranny goes back together tonight, then this weekend, she gets bolted back to the engine...

Hopefully this weekend, i have her back in the car... Updates to come....

so in doing some last minute checks. My water manifold at the back of the engine that goes to the heater setup, uses a bypass tube. AKA , i have no heater in the car right now. Which is fine being in florida. However, the bypass hose that was used, before i bought the car, is torn and cracked and i actually didnt like the way it was kinked to begin with. So i went to by a new hose to bypass the heater core with. What a bitch to find one of these damn things.. Onto NAPA after work, those guys seem to know their **** better than Autozone...

Nothing is ever easy is it. I WILL CONQUER this . LOL

Well after months of working on this beast. I finally got the engine back in the car. No. didnt start it yet. Still have some stuff to button up. Took me most of the day to get the tranny attached and the engine back in. So Im pretty beat.

Had a bitch of a time with the driver side exhaust manifold. Had to remove the back one to clear the steering rack and what not. So Ill bust up some more knuckles tommorow and contort myself into all sorts of positions to get it back on. This should be fun, very little room to move there...

Anyway as promised, here are the links to the time lapse of the reinstall...

There was alot of cursing (cussing for you in the south). But luckily there is no audio... LOL

These videos make me look like i know what im doing... LOL Enjoy

There was once a man called ou18
Who pulled out his engine without fainting
All bolts broke and rusted
His knuckles where busted
He should have stuck to painting.

I'm kidding, great job so far!
