E82 / E88 1 Series (2008 - 2013)
BMWs throw back to the iconic 2002, with a renewed form and function. The smallest car in BMW's line up but still packs a punch. Available in coupe or convertible, powered by either an inline 6 in the 128 or the twin turbo rocket sled 135.

Smile my special order 128i has finally arrived!

After 10 weeks, it's finally here!
I took delivery yesterday.

Here are the options I ordered:

-6 speed MT
-Sport Seats
-Heated Seats
-Moonroof
-Harmon Kardon Audio with BMW Assist.

The intent was to keep this car as basic as possible; 90% of what I want is that incredible I-6 engine and 6MT transmission. The above-listed options were must-haves for me. There was only one thing I couldn't get: Xenon headlights (I opted to skip this because I wanted to avoid the required premium package...I'm 6'-2" and I didn't want to lose precious head room from the power seats).

I couldn't be happier.
This - in my mind - is the perfect BMW. And it's special because it's one of the final North American 1-series to be produced.

Congrats! I am about to do PCD on a 128i this week. While the 2er is sounding interesting mechanically, I didn't want to miss out on the I6 of the E82.

Beautiful car. I also have one on order. I'm doing PCD on August 30th. The wait has been almost unbearable! I wanted to make sure to get one of the last I6 engines before they go the way of the dodo bird.

I have an E46 3'er, which I've owned for 10 years, and 185K miles. It makes me sad to be giving it up, but man, I'm excited for my new car to arrive.

Enjoy yours,
Bill

Aha! The power seats -- I'm short but I had been wondering why I felt like I was sitting higher in my (custom order) car than in the model I test-drove at the dealer! I can't believe that never occurred to me, I've been trying to figure out what was wrong with my sitting position for weeks.

Congratulatios! You also have one electric adjustent on your manual sport seats. There is a slide switch near the front on the side of the bottom cushion to move the bolsters in and out.

Gorgeous! You've optioned it almost exactly as I would have. You have all of the important bits and non of the expensive, unnecessary bits. Enjoy it!
