Was planning to get these for my e90:

If I install this upgrade will I have to get different halogens, too? Any suggestions? Preferably something that will last a while since its a PITA to swap them out.

Why would you need to change the halogen low beams?

So changing them is safe? I have a 2008 328i coupe convertible and i bought the LED lights n took them to the bmw dealer but they said if they install them they will not be responsible if something goes wrong with any electrical in the car. So that scared me to even want to change them.. i dont want anything to screw up. I dont know what to do or think? Helppp!

I'm not suggesting you do this, but you can buy Xenon low beam kits that will match the LEDs better. However, I don't believe they are legal. There are specific requirements for Xenon headlights such as a self leveling mechanism and headlight washers. Otherwise, you can try the myriad of halogen bulbs that try to imitate Xenons, though you'll probably be disappointed.

Where did you purchase from? If you purchased from one of the forum sponsors (mine are from e92lighting), then many other members can tell you if they had issues. I have yet to read a post where angel eye LEDs have caused electrical problems.

Do you know someone who can help you install rather than using the dealership? Maybe an independent mechanic who won't give you a hard time?

Not sure what website because my father happened to get them from someone who works at a mechanic shop and he ordered them online.

Looks similar to these.

If I were you, I would ask your dad to ask the fellow at the shop who ordered them to help you install since he knew which bulbs to order.

And yes we do know of a mechanic but my father is concerned about having them changed now because of what I told him the dealer said. So it became hard to convince him to not worry

Ok. I believe the lights you have are sold by www.GP-Thunder.net - see the link below

http://www.gp-thunder.net/index.php/...ee-40w-v4.html

I've bought multiple sets of lights for both of my cars from this site without any issues. And if I did have any questions, they actually answered the phone when I called and always responded quickly to emails.

I hope that helps.

The Angel Eye Lighting System is completely different from the rest of the head light... I had the same worries that you are... I ordered the light and did the install in less than 20 min.. It's really not that bad.. I promise.
This is how you get the bulb out..

As far as the lights that you have bought... I've never seen anything like those.... The lights that are pictured above look good... Or click on the link I posted earlier..

Let me know if you have any questions.... It's def worth upgrading!!
