Brake wear/warranty

At what thickness does BMW replace the brakes under warranty? My dealer reset the light several months ago and didn't replace the brakes. Clearly, I can feel that the brakes are in need of replacement but they keep telling me otherwise. I haven't had a good service experience with this particular dealership. This is one of several issues and I'm completely frustrated. They are definitely not up to par and are tarnishing the BMW brand - at least for me.

Not sure but I think is about 2mm when BMW replaces the pads, requested for a read out from your dealer and see if they meet the spec.

well when there is metal on metal they will replace them. How close are you to running out of the warranty period, Maybe they hope your warranty will run out before they replace the pads and rotors and thats what they are hoping for

Isn't the readout in software? So if they reset it, it doesn't accurately reflect the actual thickness right?
