Backup Camera Malfunction

Just took delivery this evening of an 013 28i. Everything was fine until we got near home and attempted to use the backup camera. Camera was functioning fine(good video on the display) but the dash in front of the steering wheel had the message "Backup Camera Malfunction". Anyone see this before? It was raining at the time but not sure that could affect the function of the camera.

Note at the dealer we used the backup camera and we did not see the error message.

Seems to be a common problem. Google search shows tons of threads on other forums about exact same issue. Odd thing is many happened within hrs or days of driving it off the lot. Just like ours....seems to be a loose connector issue.
