Tire Suggestions

I am looking for new tires for my '06 Convertible. I only drive it during the summer and try to avoid the rain. Any suggestions?

Thanks.

I run michelin pilot super sports for the rear on my 08 535i. Great tires, spectacular grip and theyre great in the rain as well. Granted I spend $1k for the rear set and they last about 18,000 miles max. If you like to have fun while driving, go for these tires, corners like a boss.

Michelin Pilot SS run them on the E64 M6 and the E46 M3. Both have seen track time with favorable results.

Are the Pilot SS tires Run-Flat?
Does E46 M3 required to have Run Flats?

No and No, They are not run flats and no you don't need to use run flats. They are a great tire just ran them at Cal Speedway with NASA in the rain as the track was to wet for the NT01's. The were great on the wet track and got me home to Az as well.

I my opinion it is a blast to drive this kind of car on the track at least once to legally and safely see what you can do with it. I have 20 track days and I'm still not at the cars full potential, "the car is faster than I am". This is what BMW intended us to do with the cars.
Enjoy
