FS: '03 540i M-Sport w/6spd $13.4k obo

This ad is a bittersweet occasion for me. I was finally able to purchase a new BMW (first one ever!) but this sadly means I must part with my 540i.

From the last model year of the finest chassis (E39) BMW has sent us. As an '03 540 sport, she's gotten the M treatment (front and rear bumpers, and some other decor), 18-inch M-Par wheels (wrapped in Michelin PS2s with more than 70% tread remaining). Topaz Blue Metallic (rare) exterior with a Dove Gray interior complete with Titan interior trim (brushed aluminum). The 4.4L V8 is paired with the 6-speed manual transmission (only 1,265 '03 540is in the US have manual transmissions). I have all documentation except my gas receipts, as well as records from BMW for work done at dealers prior to my purchase.

Major work already complete: Cooling system overhauled, valve cover gaskets, galley plate coolant leak.

Bonus work: an OEM Bluetooth unit (not just the pre-wiring), as well as an Intravee II iPod connection, both of which seamlessly integrate into steering wheel and navigation screen. The stock shifter has been switched for a short shifter from an E36 M3 (for your pleasure). The stock differential has been switched for a limited slip differential from an E39 M5 (for your and the cars pleasure).

Issues: She was sexually harassed a few months ago, and received some damage to her front right. This resulted in a new bumper, hood and headlight which were replaced at my local BMW Dealer (for which I have the paperwork). She has also recently developed the classic E39 'shimmy' (steering wheel shakes when braking in between 45-55 mph) which is caused due to the right thrust-arm bushing being cracked. There is also a ding below the driver's side mirror and several dings on the rear passenger door.

Currently she has approximately 89,500 miles. The car is currently not being driven much, so mileage shouldn't change much.

Non smoker, adult driven.

I have dropped the price to $13,400 in the interest of selling my car sooner rather than later. I am hoping to stay close to my asking price but may entertain other, serious offers.

Feel free to contact me if you have any questions.

Thanks for looking!

always loved this body...call me crazy but i think this looks just as good (if not even better) than the E39 M5. Your car looks super clean and in great shape.
I'm not sure what these go for but considering the condition of this car, it definitively grants a premium compared to other E39s out there.
free bump...GLSW

Ahh I love it, but you're far away and the price is a bit high for me.
