Dealer for PDC delivery?

Looking to replace my 2004 X3 this fall. Want to take the PDC route. Was thinking that there is nothing to stop me from using any dealer in the country for that. No loyalty has been earned by my local dealer, so I am a free agent. Also, not looking for a trade as I am giving my current X3 to my son.

Anyone have experience with a dealer who is especially "aggressive" in pricing PDC sales?

Thanks!

PDC is always a great experience, if possible get it.
But i recently heard that the Factory might be closed due to expansion for the new X4.

PDC Pricing

Not sure you can get any discount for a PDC delivery. You must still pay the delivery charge ($925) which, presumably, covers the cost of PDC prep, hotel and meals, and the BMW staff. It's a great experience but not sure how it would help the dealer to achieve a lower cost since the dealer probably sees little or none of that $925 for a PDC delivery.

Do you know differently?

I was thinking more a discount on the purchase price, since this is one that drops in their lap. No floor plan cost, etc.

Haven't heard of any dealers who specialize in PCD discounts. But the great thing about doing PCD, despite the delivery itself, is that you can order from any dealer in the country. So if your local CA isn't willing to play ball on price, then just contact someone else. This is exactly what I will be doing soon since I just moved to an area where there is only one bmw dealer.

Pretty sure you can find someone to give the usual price quoted here, around 500 over invoice. Of course you still have to pay delivery, training and perhaps maco as well.

This does sound good, which is why I will definitely contact some of the dealers on here who are sponsors. Is there a list of them somewhere and their emails?

How is does the lease return work for an out of state dealer that you did PCD for?

The site sponsor index is here,

http://garage.bimmerfest.com/siteSpo...tesponsorindex

If you click on a sponsor their contact info is shown on the right of the resulting page. If you read some of the threads in the ask a dealer sub forum Greg Poland of Pacific BMW and Jon Shafer of Santa Barbara BMW get great reviews, as do a few others.
