Diffs????

I need a new diff for my 2000 320ci, my questions are, can I fit any diff( with a little alteration to the input shaft coupling)? or what diffs can I fit to my car?

Thanks for your time

Tymm

Google Bok Choy`s Diff Chart....that will give you all the possibilities.

I don`t see any reason why yours would be any (physically) different than one from a US-spec 325i....the ratio is probably the only change....

Just any will fit, but you can get even exactly right for your car.

http://www.schmiedmann.fi/3_sarja/e4...irto/sivu1.htm

That's what i'm seeing, but www.schmiedmann.se should give you swedish site.

For 320i they have many used differentials in sale. 3 for manual and 8 for automatic.
468 + delivery from Denmark.

316i and 318i use same differential (2002 and later, early models have different), if you think of hunting for it yourself.

Any E46 diff will fit. You may have to swap output flanges or the input flange from your existing diff, but it is easy. My youtube page has videos showing the process.

+1 the 330 has a different different flange than the 325 or older e46s but that is the only difference in them.
