Parking lamp failure

Hi there,

I have a 2006 525i. My left parking lamp failed recently, and I put some LED lamps from eBay into it. I wasn't going for crazy brightness so I got some $40ish ones. Shortly after installing them, I started having electrical problems. The steering wheel would stop moving downward when starting, then I'd have no power until I opened and shut the driver door. Random clock resets as well. Removing the LEDs fixed this issue, so I'm a little wary of installing anything other than OEMs.

What I'm wondering is, A: am I crazy? Are there good ones out there which are properly made outside of China? B: It looks like there are bulbs inside of the orange housing. Can I get some automobile bulbs from Canadian Tire or something and switch them out? The guide at the store said they're a standard H type (can't recall the number at present).

Thank you!
Ian

MTEC has the brightest angel eye for the prelci E60's and it wont cause any electrical problems.
