Dinan Performance Engine Software for E92 M3?

Has anyone installed this on their car? I don't care about increasing the red line to 8,600 rpm, but the extra HP would be nice and I really don't like the way the car feels when it is bumping up against the top speed governor.

As a stand alone mod you won't feel much increase in HP and torque. However you will notice how linear the power is delivered. And now to my question....where are driving to reach top speed? Or do you mean redline?...............Phil

Yes.

Installed by original owner in 09.

According to my highly calibrated butt-dyno, my car has always felt 'a bit' livelier than any other E9x M I've ever driven.

I really don't want to answer this question.

you'll never do just one mod from dinan. i can't help and tell you the diff between stock and the software bc everything was done at the same time. but not sure you will be able to tell in day to day

going above 155? sure think you'll be able to tell that you CAN do it when you get it

Cool.

FWIW price of $799 doesnt seem to have changed since 2009.

I think with 9 more HP it's a nice upgrade: "The combination of Dinan's re-calibration of ignition timing, fuel delivery, and cam timing produce a maximum gain of 9 hp @ 6000 rpm and 8 lb-ft @ 6000 RPM. Peak horsepower is increased from 414 to 421 at 7900 RPM."

Who did your Dinan installs? I have a CF intake coming whenever they come off backorder... might be the beginning of an expensive habit.

I tried to look away but the 30% larger intake volume and 10% discount sucked me. Having my Amex card number memorized didn't help.

When I win the Powerball tonight, I'll pay for your full S3-R Dinan kit. You have to give those arms a rest.

highyo also shares our love for black. Everyone knows a black car is good for at least 5hp.
