First BMW Choice

I want to buy a used BMW in the range of 15-20K. I would prefer Manual Tran

I read a lot about the twin turbo 3.5 issues so I am thinking I should go with a 328. What would be a good choice in terms of years and model?

Also, given this price range should i stay away from all wheel drive? Is it more problematic or if I find one, should I keep it in the running.

Any other advice?

Near Pittsburg? xi might be a lifesaver w/snows.

It's a 3.0

If money's key and you're not mechanically inclined, and modest power's you cup o'tea....whew!....328i is an excellent choice.

Mind you, the suspension can be dramatically improved.
