How do you figure your turbos are gone?

What happens? No pick up ? delay in pick up?

Are turbos covered under CPO warranty?

Re: help with the turbos guys

You can tell a turbo is gone by excessive whistling, or greatly reduced power. $7k is massively expensive and surely worth going to a non bmw dealer to sort. There are also many companies that will sell you a reconditioned turbo for a fraction of the price in return for some cash and your old turbo (which they recondition and sell on)

the dealer told me that the turbos had a design flaw in the 2009 and 10 X6. in the later models the issue was fixed. they made adjustment by using bigger hoses and etc parts.

in my case both turbos were replaced with brand new ones. i now have a warranty on them. my x6 is running great now

Great news, were you covered under the warranty? Does anyone know if turbos are covered under CPO Warranty?

You guys can go to www.realoem.com
enter the last 7-digit of your VIN and browse through section etc and can find the turbo part number.
