Post DTEC H8 V7 LED Angel Eyes X5M E70 2013

Didn't see an example of the new DTEC H8 V7 LED Angel Eyes upgrade and decided to make one.

Recently got my 2013 E70 X5M:

Didn't have the full LED Headlights and decided that the yellowish Angel Eyes are not going to work.

Got a set of DTEC H8 V7 LED from E92-Lighting.com.
Derrick was very helpful and offered a great deal.

Also had a pair of the GP Thunder H8 8500K that was about $12 and good for comparison.

GP Thunder H8 8500k and the DTEC H8 V7 LED

OEM Angel Eyes

GP Thunder 8500K vs OEM - the GP's are much dimmer

DTEC H8 V7 LED with the errors cancelling vs OEM Philips H8 bulb

GP Thunder 8500k vs DTEC H8 V7

The DTEC V7 H8 unit - not too big

DTEC H8 V7 installed

Overall really like the outcome. Much better than the yellowish OEM color of the AE's, but thats just my preference.

Phone camera makes it look not very even, but the inner and outer rings light up almost the same way.

Hope this helps people on making decision to upgrade the angel eyes bulbs on their E70.

I'm confused here... Perhaps you need a certain option?

2013 X5M should have a different headlight housing and it is full LED ring and Light.

552 Full LED Headlights is a $1900 option.

My car did not have that option. Was looking for the best deal instead of all the options.

May I ask why you have yellow rings instead of the stock LED blue halos that almost all X5s post 2012 have?

I have a 07 and I want to change the halogen angel eyes into OEM LED. 4300k? 6000k?

I don't want it to be very bright. Same lumen output as OEM would be nice.

What do I need?

Thank you!

I've found some 20W and 40W ones on eBay.

What do you guys think of these 20W ones?

Basically, the X5M has the same exact front end as the X6M, which is based off the X6. The X6 didn't get LED headlights until this year (when production of the E70 pretty much stopped), but BMW won't spend that little bit of money to reprogram the car and assembly line.

It's the same reason the E92 M3 LCI had yellow angel eyes but the E92 LCI had white LEDs.

Has "SOMETHING NEW" arrived yet and how does it compare? I'm in the market for an upgrade.
