Fricking Fracking Picture attachment, upload

Ok, so I used the attachment (paperclip) option and it stated the photos were attached and still can't see them...

Looking for guidance!

For ours it was essentially the Premium Sound Package but for some reason it was listed as Value Package. Not sure why??

Thanks Oak!

Very happy with the car, thought I would be more lost without the rear camera but it's workable since we have the PDC. I researched like others here and found I could buy retrofit that claims OEM via www.bimmertech.com so figured we can always upgrade if find myself needing to drive on the roads in reverse more often. ;-)

I don't have the reverse camera either. Definitely wish I did as my garage at home is a dual-door double garage with a separation. PDC is just not enough sometimes. My car has some scratches which tell how it was a bit much for the previous owner to handle.

FYI: the camera package included side-top view cameras for parallel parking as well. It is a tough car to park correctly.

Do your research on Bimmer-tech itself. There have been some stories on not so great experiences. Not bashing them, Just a heads up.

I honestly thought all F07s and F10s had reverse cameras as part of navigation. So you have front grill night vision camera, but no rear camera?
Go figure!!
I have night vision too, but mostly use it as a conversation piece.

I have no night vision either on my 2010. I think the only "standard" item was PDC sensors on 2010s.

The rear camera was not standard on MY 2010 for some odd reason. The surround cameras would have been cool, but for me I don't live where I have to parallel park. The PDC is more than enough info for my purposes (garage parking, front sidewalk proximity, etc) and there are plenty of other things to break down so why unnecessarily burden the wallet! I agree Night vision is just a show-off device, tried it the other evening: had wife walk in front while I slowly drove and never alerted... Of course it was still 92 ambient and hotter on concrete so maybe too hot? I wonder if it would be useful (if even possible) in the head-up display?

Thanks for the tip with bimmertech Oakley. I did notice they were somewhere in Eastern Europe which means if something did go wrong I would not have much recourse and the reverse camera cost was slightly over $1000.

No worries!

I always wait for the solid tone and red portion of the PDC to light up when backing into my garage, but when I get out I realize I had at least 6 inches to go. That's when I miss my rear view camera.

Re: We are finally officially part of the club

Daders, when your wife was out front of your GT with you behind the wheel, was she nervous at all?

Welcome to the club. Good to have you aboard.

Almost forgot! We had 15796 miles on the odometer upon delivery.
And integral active steering is also on this crazy vehicle

Thanks fish! And at least no outwardly signs of nervousness! And she didn't even slap me for revving the engine either! :-O

I posted 3 photos of our car in my album 550 GT. I think it's viewable to the public... I randomly found a nice picture opportunity on Sunday at the local community college (had never been there before) while driving to recharge the battery since I drained it while detailing the interior. Let me know if you guys can see the photos, I also included the photo immediately after debadging the car... I had to edit a photo and show the wife badged vs debadged on thr computet in order to convince her as she wanted to keep them on. Besides looking so much better it's easier to keep clean. Winner, this guy!

Thanks for the photos daders. I really like the de-badged look. Think I'll discuss it with my wife.

Good luck with the politicking ductordoc! It wasn't quite as easy as some others have posted but they may have done it with much less age on the car. I wound up using a chamois as paint protection and wrapped it around a very thin hard plastic spatula to get the initial lift on the lettering then switched to waxed dental floss. The adhesive residue was easy as long as the backing stayed with the lettering otherwise it took a lot of rubbing (used the chamois since it has some abrasive like qualities and hoped I didn't affect the paint). When about 90% removed I then switched to a bug and tar remover to remove the last visible adhesive and finished by clay barred the whole area to make sure everything was removed. The wife liked it so much she did the same to the Audi on her own!!!

Will have to post some more photos soon as I just finished all the detailing and we get it tinted tomorrow...loving my newly discovered Zaino products, looks showroom ready and the leather conditioner smells like a ScanDesign store. She thinks I'm nuts to spend 6+ hrs detailing the exterior and another 2 on the interior but is not complaining about the final results!

New photo added to 550 GT album! Check it out! Llumar Pinnacle Series 30 on Front Driver & Passenger, Pinnacle 5 on Rear sides and Back. Last minute decision to go with 5 vs 15 and not regretting it at all. Should receive Thule foot pack tonight will have some glamour/action (w/ bike on top) shots in coming weeks!

Signed up to photobucket but it won't let me log in now, lol! Once I figure it out I won't make you all leave the threads just to see photos...
