E82 / E88 1 Series (2008 - 2013)
BMWs throw back to the iconic 2002, with a renewed form and function. The smallest car in BMW's line up but still packs a punch. Available in coupe or convertible, powered by either an inline 6 in the 128 or the twin turbo rocket sled 135.

Car is finally here

Placed the order 8 weeks ago, picked it up yesterday. Some phone pics for now, will post better pictures in few days.

My previous car was E90 328i sedan with sport package (white one parked next to the new car).

I was not willing to switch to F30 as I wanted something sportier. It was also the last chance to order car with hydraulic steering. I doubt new 2 series will come with dual clutch either and I wanted to experience that as well.

Car has M sport, dual clutch transmission and deep sea blue metallic paint.

Car is surprisingly spacious and luxurious, can't really say that it's any worse than E90 in terms of comfort and road noise. Was pleasantly surprised that it comes with lumbar support and Bluetooth. Did not realize that it came with lip spoiler and fixed caliper brakes at the rear, thought rear brakes were floating-caliper.

It's obviously a lot faster and meaner than subdued 328i. Love the exhaust sound. BOV is surprising loud (like STI or Lancer), I thought in BMW it would be less pronounced, but I like it.

Plan to keep the car stock, except getting rid of run flats and tinting the windows.
