i think the big question is whether or not one can reset the OBD functions. the last time i have looked at the Eonon and even the Dynavin, you can not. the Dynavin can show it, but not reset it (though in europe it seems to be able to, but something about the iBus here does not work well with HVAC). i believe the Eonon does not have any interface at all do do anything with the OBC functions. without the MID or OEM Nav i am not sure how one could reset any of the OBC functions. they still may show up in the high display, but they will just be ongoing values from the time of the new head units install.

I have USB IBUS interface (USB)with old laptop and software I wrote to have all MID options and buttons working on laptop screen. So at very worst I have to drag laptop with me, but I hope someday hack open the eonon case and check whats inside, maybe it has USB . It was ~3 years ago, so I hope the laptop still works.

I contacted them myself about the haed/nav unit. the original price on the unit for me was $389, which was complete with 2013 maps and complete system including rear facing camera. apparently there are many models, all with slight differences. But I am in if there is a group rate discount, depending on the dicounted price. I am Very Interested & have been eyeing it for about 3 weeks now.

Well ive been looking on ebay and the models that replace the tag light look fantastic. i want something that does what it should looks good , for a good price, as do we all. But i'm not concerned about H/D clarity. I dont plan on using it to drive in reverse down the highway, lol. Just need a decent level of clarity. But EBAY have a very nice selection for all price ranges.

Thumbs down Not Such A Great Group Buy Price

Eonon has given me the group buy price. There is a net price INCREASE from last week's discounted price. The group buy price is now $335 w/o maps and free shipping, up $5 from last week. It's $365 w/US map set. So much for a group discount. I, for one, will not be buying as I get a sketchy feeling when businesses subtract through addition. You all should make your own decisions. Here is the info they sent me:

D5124F:
Original price: 475USD(no map)
Group Buy price: 335USD(no map) / 365USD(with US map)
Save: 29% Off!

A0565 & A0564: (For those cars with OEM navigation):
Original price: 56USD
Group Buy price: 50USD
This cable GB price is an added bonus, hope you guys like!

I believe Eonon will start a thread with instructions on how to buy at this price.

CORRECTION: I indicated the price last week was $330. It was actually $339. A $4 discount!

Re: How many would be interested in a Group Buy for the Eonon Audio/Nav Head Unit?

Yeah that's no discount, considering that the price I have on eBay with maps and a rear mount camera, was $389. Since, I have seen it even cheaper by $20. If they were to give a discount from their actual selling price and not from their list price 29% would not be bad.

I'm hoping they realize that a lot of guys are going to retract their offers, I for one am going to. I guess I'm better off getting it on eGay?

Seriously... That's a rip off, hopefully they realized all the money they just lost. If it was 325 with maps I'd be in...

Honestly we could just have bought the unit, have it installed by now, and have only spent an extra ten dollars. Still would've gotten the "warranty" and customer service so really to me it almost makes no difference.... Ridiculous....

Yes, but "group buy" means some sort of wholesale. Ever purchased a wholesale price that was marked up?

So what would be the difference in package if we went group buy as opposed to a normal sale?

That's what I am saying. It was available for $339* w/o maps shipped just last week for an individual purchase. With our Group Buy (27 units), it's now $335 w/o maps shipped. Go figure. I'm out. Best of luck to anyone that wants to move forward with them.

Yea i agree. Price should be way lower with 27 ppl buying but, i guess we cant do anything about it. What other brands or options are out there if we are still interested in putting a setup like this?
