Mein Auto: 328 coupe
is it common for rusty underneath and engine bolts

2008 bmw, some bolts in the engine bay already shows rust. Underneath the car, there are parts shows rust too. Didnt see this much in my g37, is it normal for a bmw? Or does bmw anti-corrosion is not that great? Click image for larger version

Ditto on every response so far. OP, go down to the Texas panhandle, Arizona or Nevada area and drive around for a month or so. Your undercarriage will be scoured clean and shiny. You will also have bearing problems much sooner than we get in the Northeast but that's the trade-off.
