E90 (2006 325i) tail light (driver's side) replacement
I was involved in a fender bender hit & run in a parking lot. My guess is that someone had backed into the rear left panel of my car (there are minor scratches on my bumper) but the lens of my left tail light were broken.
The light currently works (i taped the glass back on) when I turn on my night light and it also works when i brake. However, the turn signal doesnt flash, and the blinker blinks noticeably faster than before. The check light notification pops up on my dashboard.
I have watched a couple of youtube videos on how to manually change the light (i only need the left panel) and it seems simple enough. However, are any of the symptoms i listed above an indicator of any serious issues? If i detach the light and plug it back in, should I expect it to work normally? Any input is appreciated, and if any additional info is required please let me know!
