ok so my seat is a little weird in my 2011 335D

I don't know exactly how to articulate this "issue" and I have tried to search to see if it is common (to no avail).

I bought a 2011 335D (non sport) with 28000 miles on it. Great car.

But as I'm driving it, I realize that it SEEMS like the seat lists just a little bit to the left. Nothing dramatic and it might be in my head. But it feels like a person with only one butt cheek sat on the seat for three years (the left butt cheek).

I'm trying to sort of lean to my right, position myself up on the right side bolster, hoping over time it will level out. It feels like a couch that is worn down in one spot because one fat dude sat on the same spot all the time.

What I'm wondering is this... is there a technique for tamping down the right side of the seat? I don't want to get carried away and mess up the leather or poke a spring through the upholstery or anything like that. I just want the right side of the seat to settle in flat with the left side.

This is not "twisted seat" that I've read about - it is nothing so dramatic feeling as that. It just feels like the one-butt-cheek dude only wore in half his seat.

Anything I can do? Has anyone else faced something like this with a 3 year old car?

I would imagine that whatever you'd have to do would take years to even it out. Other options would be to replace the padding in the seat or shove a pillow down your trousers.

...worst case scenario, get some lipo on one cheek. It's a small price to pay to enjoy your ride.

Sandpaper on my ass or on the seat??

But seriously, is there something I would break by just leaning hard on that inner half of the seat each time I get in or out? Would it "break something"?

If the foam seat cushion has been systematically over time been squished on one side, I don't think a hefty lean on the opposite side would correct it.

If the cushion was dislodged and is sitting crooked, that's another story and may be worth investigating by looking under the seat.

That was a facetious suggestion, obviously. I have the same car. M-sport model with the sport seats. Have never heard of this problem. Maybe see an upholstery expert? But I wouldn't think you could hurt the seats by how you sit in them.
