Yellow BRAKE light and DTC warning light

Hello all,

I'm new with BMWs. I have an 08 BMW 335i sedan with approximately 42k miles. On my car the yellow/amber BRAKE light is on with the DTC warning light. I've changed my brakes recently and the brake fluid is full. These two lights come on randomly and stay on for the duration of a drive. When I start the car and drive it again the lights will go off and stay off for the duration of that drive. I've tried looking it up but I've been seeing a lot of different answers as to what could be causing this issue like it may be the steering angle sensor, battery, or wheel speed sensor.

I'm just trying to figure out what could be causing this issue so I can make sure it's taken care of before anything gets worse. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Were these warning lights on before you changed the brakes? What part of the brakes did you change? Pads, rotors or both?

The amber/yellow BRAKE light was on before I changed the brakes. When I changed the brakes I changed the pads for both front and rear as well as both sensors. No rotors were changed though. Now both the BRAKE warning light and DTC warning lights are on

It is good to heed a warning light. It is most excellent to read codes w/Bavarian Technic or GT1 OBDII code readers.

That said, did you say you installed new brake sensors and calibrated, OK initiated, your steering wheel position sensor? If not, let Google be your guide!
