Mein Auto: 2014 Z4 35i
Hi

Just introduced myself on the introduction forum and figured I might as well do the same here.

Ordered my Z4 35i in mid-April and received it at the dealer on July 1st.

Going to retire in a couple years and got that roadster bug again. Way back in the 70's I owned:

1966Corvette Coupe, 327, 350Hp manual 4speed 411 rear
MGB
TR4
Datsun 240Z

Was looking for a nice roadster. Test drove and almost bought a 2013 Corvette Convertible until I test drove a 2014 BMW 35is. Fell in love with it except for the auto tranny. Great little roadster.

So I ordered a Z4 35i with the 6 speed MT (I guess I am old school, paddle shifting is not the same feel)

Here are the specs
Z4 35i
Deep Sea Blue Metallic
M Sport Package
Cold Weather Package
Premium Sound Package
Technology Package
Park Distance Control
6 Speed Manual Transmission.

Great looking car. Enjoy it like it should be and don't let it become a garage queen.

Also, I was surprised to see that your old corvette had a manual 4 speed. I had the same engine setup in a 66 and had the ever popular powerglide. I loved that 2 speed auto.

I got the vette when I got out of Vietnam, it was used. I was re- painted Sunoco Blue with a yellow stinger. Beautiful car. Wanted a 66 Corvette roadster but realized that it would not be as reliable as a new Z4 or a new Vette. and the cost to get a frame off restoration was over $100k.

The Z4 is not a garage Queen. Had it 2 months and got 1K on it. I drive it every night to the gym. Great roadster with the top down.
