If you look at the info for the ship, it says it is "not currently in range."

However, it looks like Integrity can be tracked on the SailWx site, which shows it basically in the mid-atlantic. Search by call sign of the ship (which you can get from the Marine Traffic website under the ship info). Here's what should be a link to where it is right now from the SailWX site-

If you zoom out you also can see Gabrielle and Humberto noted on the map. Hoping Gabrielle is gone and seas are calmed by the time my boat needs to get through that area. Mine is on Columbia Highway, but it apparently isn't participating in the SailWx weather monitoring so I can't track it on that website. That boat is a couple of days ahead of yours, on basically the same track, from what I can tell.
Thanks, looks like tracking these ships is not entirely straight forward - think I will just wait for a call from my dealer letting me know its there.

Now, that's not NEARLY obsessive enough! Wait for a call from the dealer?! Preposterous! We should be chartering jets to go out and find the boats RIGHT NOW!

Mine will be sitting in Bremerhaven waiting for the W&W Carmen for 9 days when it leaves on 9/21. It looks like W&W vessels leave about every two weeks for LA.

For whatever info/assistance it may provide- here is the timeline I have had so far on my X1-

-July 25 - Ordered. Dealer requested production for week 32 (Aug 5-9)
-August 1 - status changed to "Production Started;" estimated production date 8/13
-August 7- VIN obtained; production confirmed for week 34 (August 19-23)
-August 20 - Estimated production date changed to 8/22
-August 21 - Entered assembly based on info from BMW USA. (Asked to talk to a person after voice mail system and owner website show no changes.)
-August 22 - Assembly completed, status changed on dealer-accessible web page to "handover to carrier/load assignment". BMW voice mail production status updated to reflect this status; BMW owner website tracking still shows (as of this afternoon) status as "production begins."
-August 23 - BMW owner website changed from "production begins" to "production ends." BMW voice mail says car "has been completed and has been released to a carrier for transport to the port" or something like that.
-August 24 - BMW voice mail status changed to "your vehicle is being transported to the port of exit."
-August 26 - Arrived at port.
-August 27 - BMW voicemail changed to "your vehicle is at the port awaiting a shipping vessel."
-September 4 - BMW USA says it is on its way to the US aboard the "Chesapeake Highway."
-Ship schedule available from K-Line shows ship departure schedule:
-Leave Bremerhaven Sept. 4
-Leave Southampton Sept. 6
-Leave Baltimore Sept. 16
-Leave Brunswick Sept. 19
-Sept. 5 - Southampton arrival
-Sept. 6 - Southampton departure
-Sept 7 - Vessel position reported in the Celtic Sea
-Sept 7-15 - Vessel leaves coverage of the AIS system, and drops off Marinetraffic.com. Vessel is not trackable on the sailwx website.
-Sept. 15 - 6:34 UTC (1:34 a.m. EST) - Vessel reappears on Marinetraffic.com, in U.S. waters just off Virginia Beach, headed for Baltimore.
-Sept. 15 - vessel docked in Baltimore.

How long did the integrity take? My car has an eta of October 2nd hoping to pick her up on the 12th of October. How long does it take once it gets to port?

The ship was at sea I think for 13 days. It arrived Thursday in Baltimore & I'm told I will have the car next week in Richmond.

Mine was in Tamesis. It arrived on the 19th of October but the tracking website is showing "liner release" on the 20th.

Im taking delivery at the Performance Center in SC. I got a note from Jonathan Stribble, their Product and Delivery Specialist, "We most likely would receive the vehicle in the 2nd to 3rd week of October (depending on trucking schedules from Baltimore, as we don't have a lot of vehicles ship to us from that port). Once the vehicle arrives here, we would need another 3-4 days to schedule the Pre-Delivery Inspection to be performed and to have the vehicle detailed prior to delivery."

With my X1 spending 11 weeks out there, I wonder how the battery stayed up.

I charged mine a at 1600 mile road trip, let it set about ten days, and the battery is 12.3 volts.

After selling lots of lead acid batteries, my belief was that 12.4 was minimum charge for the battery to stay alive.

Maybe these AGM batteries have a different low voltage #, but it's a hassle to worry about the charge.

Now I need to buy a house here to be able to plug in my battery tender, or just disconnect battery all the time.

My X1 xDrive28i Timeline so far:

Ordered Thursday 9/19 10A west coast USA time (the factory would already be closed for the day by then, right?)

By Friday afternoon 9/20 my time the web site said "Order Documented"

This morning, Wednesday 9/25 AM, the website now says "Production Started" That's pretty impressive, they are starting building the car on the 4th business day.

That's great. Sounds like they don't have much of a order backlog. Not so great for BMW.

Re: the order backlog. Sales manager said "This is a great time to order one... they are caught up from vacation...lots more people order them for Christmas, the wait will be longer then." Of course, when you are a sales manager, any day you put down a deposit is a great day to order one! They did have 5 or 6 on the lot, just not the one we wanted.

The boat is the wild card at this point.

OCTOBER 1 UPDATE:

All week the website has said Production Completed would be 10/2. Yesterday, 9/30, the date changed to 10/10. A phone call to BMW NA says they have "no idea" why it changed, and that production actually didn't START until yesterday. Disregard my earlier timeline, they actually started building the car on the 7th business day after order. Still not too bad.

It's just south of Cabo as of 7pm.
So late tomorrow to midday Thursday is the likely arrival time.

Not that it matters to me anymore.
Until the budget passes, I won't be getting paid. So, I can't responsibly pick up (and pay for) my new BMW until I know I'm getting regular paychecks again.

Production is complete on our X1. The website and BMW USA kept giving us conflicting information about the date, but everyone concurs-as of two days ago, our X1 is built.

So.. if anyone is contemplating ordering an X1 to be built to specs, here is our timeline so far:

Ordered Thursday AM 9/19 in USA
Order Documented on BMW website 9/20
Production Begins Wed 9/25, 4 business days later
Production Ends Wed 10/2, 9 business days after order placed

2 weeks to get just what you want built isn't too bad. Let's hope the ship is just as speedy.

We ordered a:

X1 xDrive28i
M Sports Package, Ultimate Package, Lighting package
Alpine White, Coral Red Leather Seats, wood trim

Now I can answer the original question

Our car waited at the port for 11 days before leaving (for Port Hueme.)

Our experience so far is..

Ordered Thursday AM 9/19 in USA
Order Documented on BMW website 9/20
Production Begins Wed 9/25, 4 business days later
Production Ends Wed 10/2, 9 business days after order placed
Arrive at Bremerhaven Tues, 10/8
Left Bremerhaven Sat, 10/19

ETA Port Hueme is 11/13. We've ordered BMW's a few times before, and IIRC, we usually pick it up at the dealer about a week after it arrives at the port.

So... if anyone is wondering how long will it take to get a car built in Germany and delivered to California is "about 2 months"-at least in the fall. I think they shut down for a while over the Christmas holidays; if you ordered one next month you might hit some delays.
