Finally time to fix my climate control properly

So I got my ac working a while back, but now the mornings are cooler and foggy. Now that school is back in i need heat and ac. So I BELIEVE i know the issue, but could not find much info.
My heater valves were not operating properly. I found the input to them was not correct, and did not change as it was supposed to do. I think it is my climate control module. Where is it?, can i fix it myself? I have checked everything. The aux pump is never off, and the valves get no signal to close when i turn the dials. So my guess is the module.
IF AND ONLY IF there is a way to repair it, and i attempt it. Would my fan and ac system still work to operate the ac right now if i mess it up or will my ac go out completely. Right now it works because i blocked the valves off.
The system just seems over engineered. It is great until it messes up. But there has to be a better way.
Anyway, and help is appreciated.

I'm not sure if there is a climate control "module", but I think that the operations are directed by the climate control panel (where the knobs and controls are).

Before I had my heater core replaced, I had either full hot or full cold whether it be AC or heat. I picked up a used climate control panel at Pull-A-Part and had my mechanic swap it when he replaced the heater core. Voila .... it works perfectly now.

If I recall, the panel cost around $20. Itís worth a shot.

BTW, if you remove your climate control panel and snap a pic of the back, it is possible that Andy (South26) may have one that matches it and you may be able to get it for a song

Page 513-2 of the Bentley manual. It's pretty easy. Just be careful of the plastic parts that the cables attach to.
