Anyone tried? New Michelin Pilot Sport AS 3's

Anyone tried the newer version of the Pilot Sport all-season? I hear they're supposed to be a little quieter and a little smoother ride and would like to confirm.

I have the previous PS A/S version on my Boxster S and 2001 540i, needing less performance and more quiet and smooth for 535xi wagon. Tried Continental DWS but too soft and wandering on the road. Anyone used the Bridgestone 970's lately?

Thanks!

I just put 4 on my 550i last week replacing oem conti's...car is smooth, less road noise and feels a bit better in turns. So far very pleased, bought them from tirerack and shipped to local BMW dealership for mount/balance.

Bought them last January to replace my Dunlop Run flats. Nice quiet tire. Rides much better than the Dunlops. I don't use the car in snow, but just in case, I thought the all seasons would be a good idea.

If they are anything like other Michelin products for our cars, they will be awesome. I've got Pilot Super Sports on my 550 right now, with 25,000 mostly highway miles, they are less than 1/2 worn. The driving feel from them is so superior to the OEM Contis. I had the previous generation A/S on my Nissan Maxima, and got >50,000 miles out of each set. Similar driving experience.

Yeah that is what I would say too - I have the A/S Pluses and love them. Michelin makes great riding tires.

Michelin Pilot Sport A/S 3

I just had a set installed on my '09 528ix. Replaced Goodyear RS-A. Much quieter ride, slightly firmer, but most important to me is the tendency of the Goodyears to wander on the highway is completely gone with the Michelins. No apparent loss of MPG either. I purchased from Tire Rack and had them installed at a local high-end shop with RoadForce balance. Very smooth, very happy.

Yup. The Michelin Pilot Super Sports transformed my car. I've only had them this summer but since its hot and dry in Texas, so far they have been incredible.

Just replaced my rear A/S Pluses with the AS 3's. Still have the A/S Plus on the front since they're not gone yet. Talk about a way to compare them... All the road noise comes from the front Pluses and none from the rear. Can't wait to replace the fronts to complete the set.

I have a set of 245/40/18 Pilot Sport A/S 3 tires on my 535xi wagon. So far no complaints, and much better road feel than the Yokohama set I replaced.
