Mein Auto: 335i X-drive
Exclamation 2009 335i X-drive

Hi everyone,

I purchased a 335i x drive 2009 sedan with less than 50,000KMS. I'm a MB driver who is switching to BMW. I had a 2002 c320 and i currently own a 2009 c230 4matic. But both benz's absolutely gave me no problems. As i am concerned that the BMW Will give problems. Any suggestions or tips to look out for? Or any certain concerns I should be worried about?

Thanks!!

1 ) As you come up on 80,000 km you should think about having the intake valves cleaned (walnut shell blasting per BMW).
2 ) Change the transfer case and front and rear differentials every 50,000 km. Note: there's no drain plug on the rear, and it's a nuisance to do. Keep chasing quotes until you find one under $150, or DIY.
3 ) Think about changing the ATF at 80,000 km and every 80,000 thereafter.
4 ) Get real snow tires for the winter. Don't rely on AWD and A/S.
5 ) Enjoy the car. It's a blast.

Oh, and welcome to the fest.

FWIW,
George
