UPDATE Guibo replacement all done. (Guibo Help! Keif ANYONE!)

Replacing my guibo joint and I just pulled the drive shaft off. However, at the rear diff, the CV joint cam apart. Instead of the flange that attaches to the diff. It seems the shaft plate (just behind the CV joint), is seized on. It looks like there are a couple of slots to pry it off but no luck. The CV joint lost a lot of grease and the large bearings dropped out. FML. It was going so well too.

ANYONE?

UPDATE: I got the flange off, so now I just need to reassemble the CV joint. Any tips? Type of grease? Can the CV joint even be put back together without issue?

All done. I managed to find a local wrecker who was open on a holiday Monday! He sold me a complete driveshaft for 300 bucks. While I was there I bought the hydraulics for my trunk which recently went ti*s up.

Everything went back together without a hitch and the 2-1 clunk when coming to a stop is gone. Silky smooth! The old guibo was shot. When you shook it, it rattled. You wouldn't know by looking at it that it was screwed. Visually, it looked great.

As for the trunk, it now operates fast and strong. 200 dollars for that.

All that's left now is to get the passenger seat airbag sensor problem rectified and then some custom coding!

Glad you were able to sort it out. Do you plan on coding out the passenger seat occupancy sensor or do you plan on actually fixing the issue?

I may buy the bypass module on Ebay. I think its about 60 bucks or so and disables the warning lights.

Having it done remotely through Tripl3o Coding. they do any or all codes you want (ie: disable DRL's, etc).

Johndade:

Yes and a very distinctive "clunk" or "thump". It is now dead quiet and buttery smooth. Also, shifting from P to R is quieter and smoother.
