I am getting $1200 off MSRP and got quoted $790s on a 12k, 36 months, 0 down lease.

MSRP 62550
Sell Price: 61150

Not sure about this one. My dealer should budge more for at least $2000 above invoice.

So what is considered a great price in a competitive market, IE California?

I wouldn't expect anyone in CA to be paying MSRP with so many dealerships around?

I got $600 over invoice on a 435i ordered in July from a CA dealership. $54k MSRP, payment is $560 (with NC tax of 3%) with 7 MSDs and about $200 due at signing (+ the security deposts).

2014 435i M Sport lease deal

Dealership in NJ told me they are at $4k above invoice on the 4 series. What a joke. I'm sure in a few months things will settle even in this market.

Are people seeing the dealers max out the Money Factor on 4 Series? ie not .00125 but adding .0004 for .00165?

In other words if they give a deal off MSRP are they making it up marking up aquisition fee ($725 is normal from BMW) and the MF .00125 is normal but dealer can add up to .0004 on to the Money Factor (.00165).

some dealers mark up acq fee from $725 to $925 ............BMW pays us $140 of that... and rate .00040, it allowed by BMW called RESERVE, it's just a way to make some extra $. With profit margins so slim these days, sometime it's a way to compensate.

Keep in mind these fees are 100% withing BMW guidelines.

Right- The acq fee isnt such a big deal at $200, but adding .0004 to the MF on a loaded 4 series can add ~$1500 to the total paid, or ~$40 to the payment.

I'm officially in the 435i Market now in So Cal. I live in San Diego, but would travel a few hours for a deal. Down here they don't want to cut any breaks.

2014 435i M Sport lease deal

I'm in St. Louis and here is the lease I got a few weeks ago.

435xi. 36 months. 15k miles per year. MSRP was $61,350. Payment is $812 with $0 down. Got it with about 400 miles. We have a high tax rate here at approx 8.775%. Probably not the best deal but it was more of an impulse buy that I have already voiced my unhappiness in another thread.

In California deposits are refundable because of state law. I ordered a 428i and put a $1,000 deposit down. It will likely arrive in December when I will try to negotiate the price down from MSRP. If they don't budge, I can always bail on the deal and get my money back. It would be stupid for the dealer to turn down a $50k deal over $1k.

just a quick FYI.....that's NOT a $50k deal to the dealer................ it's more like $3,400 profit deal @ MSRP.... IMHO $1k off MSRP should not be a problem.. however you should really negotiate that in advance and not try and re-work deal when it comes in.

I haven't agreed to any sales price. The salesman indicated it would be close to MSRP which I understand given that the car is so new. And it does become a $50k deal when the car goes unbought and that $50k car goes into dealership inventory.

Just say... let's agree to $1k off MSRP and you will not ask for anything else.

Mein Auto: BMW 435i M Sport
About to sign lease in a couple of days. Am I getting ripped off?

Hi guys, I'm a first time car buyer in the U.S., I did as much research as I could before going shopping for a fully loaded 435i M Sport.

This is where I stand now:

-MSRP: $62600
-Final negotiated price: $57200
-36mo/12k miles
-61% residual at $38186
-$2500 total cash down which includes all the fees (acquisition...etc) and first month's lease
-$640/mo + tax
-being a newbie, I did not ask about the MF.
Is this a fair deal or should I be negotiating any further? I basically got them down from $5000 down and $779/mo. If this is a bad deal, I'll simply walk out.

Any help would be appreciated guys, I've already tried to ask fellow BMW lovers on another forum but nobody answered. Thanks so much!
