Hi guys,
Does any one have an experience replacing his windshield and molding through insurance?

Just had mine done last week. Luckily I had glass coverage and the new windshield cost me nothing! Had it done at SafeLite and make sure they install an OEM windshield with the rain sensor already on the windshield! Hope it works out well for ya!

OEM windshield and molding replacement

I got it done yesterday, replaced by safelite. My insurance (progressive) didn't want to replace my windshield with an OEM glass. I had to argue with them over the phone for about 20 min.. Explaining them why I deserve to get an OEM part, and not aftermarket. To make the long story short I had to raise my voice a bit and insist on what I wanted.. In the end it works.
I decided going through safelite and not the dealer, since safelite specialized only on glass i thought they will fo a better job. safelite ordered the windshield and molding from BMW dealer and install it in their shop. They did a great job!
My lesson is, dont give up to insurance company's. insist on what you deserve and make sure you get it.

Glad it worked out! I read on this site about some bad experiences when the windshield used was not OEM!
