Changing trim on an M3 convertible

I'm looking at an M3 where I like the color and interior but don't like the anthracite wood trim. The dealer thought that replacing the trim would cost about 1000-1500.

Has anybody done this? Does the cost sound right?

Thanks,
Dave

I recently saw aluminim trim on there for like $200. If you can find a used set, it's an easy DIY. Just pick up some trim removal tools from any auto parts store and you're good to go. If you want new, you can source a full set on getbmwparts.com for like $700-900 irrc. You could also go for the BMW Performance CF trim. That's hot.
