Low Tire Pressure Warning Light!

Got a warning too, albeit it is a low oil level warning.

Your post isn't complete as you've not whined about not knowing how to re-set it as explained clearly in the owner's manual...or perhaps you're just going to leave it on?

Are you going to let us know when the Forester TPMS "lights up" also? What was wrong with the Outback? Enjoying the 2.5" display screen?

This wouldn't have happened if he had Nitrogen in his tires. Time for a nitrogen thread...long overdue.

Remember: A quart every 1K keeps the oil warning light away...or something like that.

Talking Gobble, gobble

Just got my first low pressure light ever as it's been in the 20's all day in NY and the car was outside for 6+ hours. On the display it is highlighting the front drivers side tire!

Hoping it's just the cold but open to other opinions and suggestions as it's my cars first winter! Nitro? Thank you in advance for your assistance and Happy Holiday!

Re: Low Tire Pressure Warning Light!

Cold temps will reduce tire inflation but have an equal effect on all four tires. It's very possible you've picked up a nail . Check and adjust your tires all around and see how it stays. IMHO nitrogen is a waste of money!

Yes it it is the season ...... I like 78 percent nitrogen .... A good blend ..... Cost effective ...... 100 percent is hard to achieve anyway.

Have air will travel

Put in air as pressure was only down 1lb in the tire reported. Reset TPMS as per the book thought my car seemed a bit different then the instructions! Drove about a mile and so far the indicator has stayed off after driving several miles. Running out now again and will keep an eye on it!

Hopefully the indicators stay off!

Btw; never heard about the 78% nitro but sounds interesting!

Run your tire pressures at least 2-3 PSI higher than the door sticker says and your TPMS won't be as subject to temp variations.

Since the TPMS system shouldn't give a warning unless a tire is down by about 20%, it sounds like it probably wasn't correctly set to start with. With your reset, you should now be good to go.

I think you hit the nail on the head! No indicator since adjusting tires and resetting TPMS!

Mine has gone off 2 straight mornings after resetting...granted its been single digits the last 2 mornings. But the pressure was only down 1-2psi. Same right rear tire too....surprised its this sensitive.

Is there a way to see the individual tire pressures?
