Any smoke? Open the hood do you experience the same smell? You're going to have to give us some more here.

Help! Bad smells when revving over 4500 rpms

No there was no smoke. I opened the hood and the engine smelled and looked fine. I think it was because I was driving behind one of my friends when it happened and he floored his car right before I did. I think it was because of his exhaust

It smelled like something was burning
Did it smell like rotten eggs? If so, it's caused by hydrogen sulfide from your buddy's car most likely.

Well I think it smelled more like rotten eggs. It made me dizzy too and I had to pull over and breathe some fresh air. There was no smoke and I was the only one in the car so I was the only one to smell it. My friend has a 2010 Acura TL if that helps. We wanted to drive fast on this quarter mile dead straight road from this golf course where we had just finished team practice. The speed limit was like 20 mph. I was going like 55 mph and he was going 70mph. I stopped accelerating when I first smelled the smell. It is a private road though so no cops
