BMW328i vs LS 430 - change after evaporator failure

Well, after some sole searching I'm thinking of getting rid of my 2009 328i and getting a used Lexus.. No problems with 3 other Rx series, and after the $2.5k charge for a new evaporator I'm running scared.. Especially in lieu of the other reported AC problems in Arizona

Good luck with what works for you. I don't doubt for a minute that Lexus would be more reliable. I don't doubt for a second that BMW is more enjoyable to drive. Different horses for different courses. Choose which is more important to you. N4S

I totally agree.. I love the way the BMW handles and drives.. Getting close to packing it in at work and one less thing to worry about

$2.5K?

I'm guessing you don't do your own repair work.

LS430 - a vehicle with performance issues....transmission doesn't always behave; handling at more than Grandma's preferred speed ain't very satisfying.

Hey, I owned one....no more.
