Cobb AP for N55 discontinued?

I was recently told the Cobb AP for the N55 is being discontinued -- hence the lower-than-normal prices on modbargains and other sites. Has anyone else heard this? It seems a little odd since it was released less than a year ago.

I'm not immediately in the market for it, but was mulling it over as a possibility down the road.

I did a search on the forum for supporting info but came up with only the release date details. Can anyone confirm/deny it's being discontinued?

N55s just don't have as much potential as the N54s. I don't blame them for scrapping the product.

I have a buddy with an N55 whos full bolt on with meth injection and he dyno'd around 360whp I believe. Compare that to a full bolt on N54, with RBs, meth, etc at close to or over 500whp.

No, the Accessport is not being discontinued. It has been upgraded from V2 to V3 and vendors are clearing their stock of V2.

Ahhhhh. Okay, thanks. That's less ominous. Without the subsequent explanation, it lent to inferences, and I naturally wondered if there was a quality control issue. Much better.

Cobb is not discontinuing the N55 tunes. They've introduced the new Cobb V3 and are phasing out the Cobb V2 units. The V3 has a bigger screen, faster processor, in vehicle mount, with on/off switch, and Interchangeable faceplates and that really is the major difference.

If you don't feel like you're going to mount the unit on the car or use the customizable gauges, getting the V2 might be more worth it as they're less expensive. Performance maps & power gains on the two versions remain the same.
