2013 335is convertible demo pricing question

Looking at a loaded 2013 with everything but active steering. MSRP 69,875.

Its a demo with 2500 miles but will register as 1st owner with full warranty.

Thoughts on pricing.

For comparison, cars.com has two 2013s with 5-8k miles at around 63,000. I assume i can do better.

Thoughts?

Thanks,
Dave

A 335is demo. Now that is a scary thought!

Seriously, check out www.bmwconfig.com and you can calculate the invoice price for this car. It looks like that is about $64,820. As a result, I would think you could do better since that is a demo and you might be eligible for some incentives. I am not sure if the pricing of the 335is' are at a premium because of the reputation and it being the last E93 or if there are some substantial discounts due to the E93 going away to be replaced with the F33 in the spring. Perhaps someone who has recently bought one can comment. Anyway, this gives you an additional reference point.

Good luck!

Thanks. I have the invoice info. They offered a little above invoice at about 65k. I'm thinking its got to be a few thousand less to be a good deal.

Thoughts?

it wont have a full warranty. the warranty starts running the day they put the car in service. as a demo. you'll get a 3 month 5K mile warranty extension though.

i dont know how i stumbled on to this thread, but i had to say something.. your getting a demo 13 335is convertible for $65K?? i just leased a brand new 13 550i with an MSRP of $74K for $66K... just wondering, wouldnt you rather have that?? twin turbo V8, HUD, soft close doors, etc... i dunno, just seems nuts to me to spend close to $70K for a 3 series!! at least get an M3, or better yet, wait for the new M4!

They should be able to go below invoice for you on this since it has so many miles. That's what I would be aiming for.

Also, I would be concerned about whether the initial break-in proceudres were followed. I am not sure how long you are planning on keeping this, but if you want to keep it a while, it's something to think about. You may end up with some issues down the road if it was beat on.

Well, I want a convertible. Do they make a 5 series drop top?

Seriously, I'm thinking 3-3.5k below invoice and see what happens. Otherwise I can keep driving my 2005 3301 ZHP convertible until I can ED a 4 series.

So you're saying their cost is 55k? Not sure how to interpret this response.

You can do better. Just be patient. You might even consider looking for a CPO 2011 or 2012 and let the first guy eat the initial depreciation. I agree with some of the others. $65K for a 3 series is too much to pay considering what else is out there for that kinda dough.

I think you need to get a substantial discount or just find a new one. Demo is just another word for used. All that means is that the dealership used it, not an owner and a dealership employee probably doesn't give it the care that an owner would. (I remember looking at a 135 demo that looked like the guy lived in it). I would be leery of a demo just in general, but that is me. If it were me, this isn't enough of a discount to consider this car. But that is just me.

There are 81 new 335is convertibles on Autotrader. I suspect that you can get a good deal on a new one as the body style is changing. To me, a grand or two more (if you have to actually pay that versus the price quoted on this one) on a brand new one is better as you will know how it was broken in and how it has been treated from the beginning.

Anyway, my $.02 cents worth.

Good luck!

I'm thinking 61,000 which is 3800 less than invoice. Full 4yr/50k warranty with 2500 demo miles by little old sales manager on his way to church...or the track.
