Questions about misfiring ?

Hey guys . When I'm driving and fully put my foot down on the pedal sometimes (not all the time) it just won't rev like it used too! It slowly goes from 4...5....6.....7. It used to shoot right to 6-7. What could cause this? Is it known as misfiring? Thanks! By the way I have a 2006 325i

Could be several things from clogged/dirty injectors, bad fuel, failing coil(s), dirty fuel filter, throttle potentometer, transmission issues, VANOS blah blah blah - your best bet is to see if there are some stored codes.

Try running a bottle of techron concentrate plus if you want to try something inexpensive to rule out fuel clogging problems, I think the bottles are < $10.

See, those generic scanners Autozone and other minimal, not too skilled vendors use simply don't see everything. Often don't see anything.

Yow! Averdi, you gotta read more here....

So, for a mere $287 and perhaps a license for Windows software ~ $80, he's better off than an indy visit, remember, this kid says he's 'broke as a joke'.

Single car version is $179. ROI is 2 visits to the indy.

My indy doesn't charge for a code read if the work is performed there.

What about software? Hardware? This cable is worthless without either, no?

>SNIFF!<

A previously driven BMW is a finely engineered driving machine, and not a possession for those of limited means.

Completely agree, but the forum, it ages, CPO/Used dominates the threads with breaks and complaints ... and exploding engines.
