Speedometer KM to Miles

I live in Toronto Ontario Canada and I have a 2007 BMW 328i. I am planning to take a trip to the USA in the next couple weeks. I just realized My cluster only reads in KM/H. Is there any way to change it to Miles per hour for my trip?

You have the good problem. I was visiting my cousin in Toronto and he took my car for a spin. He was on the QEW at what he thought was 120KM and wondered why he was blowing by everyone. Good thing he figured it out before getting caught. 120MPH = 193KM/Hr. I don't think I would have ever seen that car again if the Toronto police had been around. US Spec cars have an inner ring of numbers with KM/Hr. At least my 2007 does

Use a GPS unit if you have one. There are also many smartphone apps out there that can display your current speed in a vehicle among other things.

There are two buttons by the gauges...push the one on the right I believe and it changes settings from metric to US.

@ woody: you're partially correct, though I believe this only change the info display. I think OP is looking for the speedometer. See attachment for something similar in my 2011.

This is a great app for android. And it can be set for both metric & standard. It can be made into a HUD for both day & night so you wouldn't have to always be looking away from the road. As with all constant running app, it sucks your battery life, so I'd definitely make sure you bring car charger (plus it's free)!

You really only have to memorize 5 speeds.
20 mph =30km
30 50
50 80
60 100
75. 120 if you are lucky to be in a state that has it.
These are not exact, but within 5 mph.
