Z3 Rearview Mirror...

Here is an option for those of us that are fairly tall and can't see past the rearview mirrors.
If you want to see what I have done to mine just click on my profile and the pictures should show the new mirror. The pictures loaded here aren't the best, but maybe you will get the idea....
I picked it up at a drag race/ car show last year. But I have seen them on ebay. like here.... http://www.ebay.com/itm/Chrome-Alumi...9a5c33&vxp=mtr

I can't quite tell: did you remove the old mount and glue the new one in place?
Nice seat-belt guide delete, too. I've often thought that if mine broke again that I would replace them with leather straps.

Blahahaha.....

Seat Belt Guide delete.... now that's funny... It was broken when I bought the car... bought replacements before iI knew what all I would have to do to actually change them put....just can't bring myself to try replacing them...

As for the mirror, yes, new base.. and it has to be ground down to match the angle of the windshield (a bunch). But VERY happy with the results. I can see behind me. And more importantly I can see out of the windshield.

Regards,

And how about the sensor for door locks that sits up there. At least I assume so on my 3.0 2001

On my early production '99 M... there was nothing attached to the rearview mirror.

I just deleted the mirror from the windshield, it gives you the most visibility
