I bought a pair very similar in design to those on ebay but they were the CREE BMW H8 32W LED Angel Eyes. Bought them from a "polarbearmotor". I noticed the ones you're asking about are only 20W. Why not go for the 32W (or higher as I see are available) for a few bucks more. Without getting overly obsessive with these bulbs, the ones I got are plenty bright (very visible during the day and have the "white" glow that makes them look like the newer generation halos). Mine don't flicker EXCEPT when you turn off your DRL's. When the DRL's are off and I start my engine is when I can see the halo's flicker upon start up and then turn off. This doesn't bother me as I like to drive with the halo's on (Duh!). The only other qualm I had with the ones I received were that the "key-hole" fins on one bulb was actually machine-cut incorrectly and so it didn't fit into the "key-hole" of the lamp housing easily. I had to push the bulb in at a slight angle before I could turn it back straight again to turn it to the locked position. (Can you say "cheap imports"?) Other than that it's been over 2 months since I've bought them and they work fine. Hope this helps.

Just wondering when you replace angel eyes bulb . Do you have to remove high beam bulb , which is in same encasing.i.e h7 bulb.

Do you have halogen or bi-xenon lights? It will make a big difference since the lights posted on this thread so far are for xenon lights. If you have halogen lights it is a different bulb and not a H8 bulb.

No. The angel eye bulbs sit independently on the whole headlight assembly. They are H8 bulbs and just twist out from the back of the assembly. They are hiding behind a plastic lid on the backside of the assembly. Yours should be this way if you have the LCI lights (e60 >2008) You do have to unscrew the headlight casing to have room to replace the bulbs. It was too much trouble for me to remove the entire casing so with my medium sized hands I was actually able to just lift up one side of the casing, twist off the plastic cover, and twist and remove the bulb.

Hey tony he has halogens so they won't be H8. It will be that wacky bulb BMW uses.
Op - you need similar bulbs like this for your AE. http://www.umnitza.com/umnitza-ice-v...ht-p-6457.html

Just don't expect them to be super bright.

I guess I'm a little confused then. I thought the 2008-10's all came with standard xenon. No?

Nope. Bi-xenons were still an $800 upgrade option.

Yeah it feels like 64W is almost too bright at night. In the picture e92 posted, I can't even make out the angel eye... is that just a camera issue or a reality issue?

Hey guys, we're going to have 10 of these Dtecs as a tester.
Is there anyone interested for getting the first 10 units of these that we get at $99?

the ICE VXX is very very very bright. These are just something we feel like we'll offer at a reduced price in case anyone wants them.

Use code DTEC100 to get a special pre-order price.
