cross-post re: streaming audio as a preset

Hi all,

I have a '13 E92 without BMW apps.

I have been playing with the new itunes Radio in ios7 and I'm very happy with it. So happy that I'll probably drop my Sirius subscription. However, the best benefit of Sirius was the ability to add a station to the presets menu-- allowing me to cycle through the FM and then XM stations.

Is there a way to add bluetooth audio as a choice on preset list?

Thanks in advance.

Yes, if you have iDrive. Highlight "Bluetooth Audio" but don't select it, then long press the preset button you want to store it to. If you do it correctly, that button will be coded to select Bluetooth Audio when pressed. You can code the preset buttons to any number of things. I have mine coded to show spit-screen content, change NAV from day to night mode, and also to traffic mode.

Thanks. However, I wasn't asking how to setup bluetooth audio as a "hotkey" preset.

Rather, I want to scroll, via the up and down controls on the steering wheel to BT audio like the FM/XM stations that live in the "presets" menu. Is that possible?

Good idea, but why do we have to push a button to change the mode? Should change automatically like every other GPS I've ever had... Sorry for the hijack, this just annoys the hell out of me everytime I have to change to night mode.
