BMW E90 320d estate unknown warning messages

This is my first post but I have trawled manuals etc for several hrs. Last night a warning came up on the car when stopping the engine which is neither online or in the manual. The symbol is an amber circular arrow and exclamation mark with a capital A in the middle. There is no mention of the error message in the manual, online, I the 3 series handbook or X5 handbook which I cross referenced just in case.

Has anyone else experienced this. At the same time the red oil service light came on going from 14000 - 0 on restart. I have a suspicion it is a sensor issue or the ECU has gone haywire. Check with garage on service record and all sound - all other message remain good. Did a check on the dashboard and all ok. A very bizarre issue.

Suggestions would be welcome what the A symbol is.

Are you sure it's an "A" and not a triangle with an exclamation point?

Because if it's this the DSC/DTC system is complaining.

The second light on an unrelated system is odd. A post by DSXmachina in another thread stated that the ABS/DSC system is a high current draw system, and suggested that battery / alternator issues can often trigger the same set of lights one sees in a steering sensor failure. An uninformed blind speculative guess might be to look at the battery / charging system.

Thanks for the suggestion - I was wondering if the A stood for Alternator - I do tend to agree that it could be a battery related issue.

The car is really well maintained and all the mileage is motorway so am suspecting a battery is approaching end of life as when I left the key fob a yellow battery warning appeared on a couple of occasions. this would also explain the rogue reset on the service counter as well. Time reset itself last week so all points to that core issue, a secondary sign of a battery issue.

The perplexing issue is the symbol

Just had a phone call from the garage and the symbol is a warning on the traction control of the E90 - could be a sensor gone. Very odd as it isn't in the manual. Lucky it isn't winter.
