Painting Rims Black on 328xi coupe?

Hey guys! First post here. I was just wondering, do any of you guys know if BMW dealerships will paint rims? Now I know I could go and ask them, but I would just like to ask here first before I ask them so that I don't get my hopes up too high. I really want my rims black since black on a silver car would look AWESOME, but I have some 17 inch alloy rims which came with the sport package on my 2008 and I do not want to get rid of them. So anyone know if the dealership would do this for me?

you are better off doing a search on google on powder coating companies in your area. I don't think any BMW dealerships do it and if they did they would charge you an arm and a leg. I'm not from around there but pretty sure someone from the forum can actually point you in the right direction, search for body shops too.

good luck!

A powdercoater will charge 200-300 bucks most likely. You may be better off selling you current wheels and buying come already in black. The difference would most likely be about the same amount for 17's.

Painting Rims Black on 328xi coupe?

BMW quoted me $1200 to powder coat my rims. Rip off.

Re: Painting Rims Black on 328xi coupe?

My BMW dealership quoted me $200/wheel. I found a place that did an awesome job for $100/wheel. BMW outsources it anyway so you're better off eliminating the middle man, which is BMW in this case. They have to make money off of it too.
