I met Jon and picked up my X3 in Santa Barbara on Saturday. He is the best and nicest dealer I have ever met!! The car is insanely beautiful. Everyone should get their bimmers from Jon. You won't be sorry.

Z4golfer,

Good looking pair bro. I should have taken a pic like this with my 330.

Thanks 330girl,

I had just finished washing the new X3 for the first time and decided I'd better wash the Z4 also. It seemed like a good photo opportunity.

So I'm not the one with the patience to read the owner's manual. Yesterday it rained in SF and after I started the front wipers, the rear wiper wouldn't stop, even after I turned off the ignition and locked the door. I let it go wiping until it got tired.

One thing I did figure out how to run without reading (where I read many had problem with this on the forum) is to play my music from a USB stick inserted into the USB port. But the sound quality wasn't as good as my 330, which has the harman kardon system. Rats, should have upgraded.

It has the M Sport package. Mostly cosmetics - like Aerodynamic kit (side skirts & bumpers), Sport seats, black roof rails, sport steering wheel (really nice!!!), 19" wheels, etc.

What is wrong with WWW.BMSUSA.COM? I have an account there and it won't let me in, even after resetting my password and everything. Kept getting the following message:

Please sign in to access this site. If you were previously signed in, your session may have expired due to inactivity.

I cleared cookies and everything. That is the worst website I ever used.

NM: I figured it out. You need to create a new account each time you finance through bimmer. That is just dumb.

Do you need extra options in order to play music on a USB stick connected to the USB port? Or it's standard? I'm shopping for an X3 too. It seems little complicated to choose among those options.

We do not have the tech package on our MY14 and my wife loaded her 1,500 songs onto a 32 meg stick and plays it thru the port in the center console. She tried it before she ordered to make sure it would work. Agree that it is hard to understand exactly what all the options really mean and do. Most of the folks that post here knew more than our sales person regarding options. They seem to change so frequently.

I saw another post that has good advice. We didn't get the Nav system as we rarely go anywhere by car that we need directions and didn't want something we felt was inferior to our iPhones maps. However, we found that the Nav package allows you to push the address from you phone to the cars Nav screen. Had I fully understood that I would have prob ordered it. Others have made the mistake of not paying the ~$250 bucks for the roof rails. Even if I didn't intend to use them I would order for resale as there is not an inexpensive solution and costs more than a grand to do afterwards. Few interesting posts on lack of rails.
