Question Q re: drive-by-wire & heel/toe

I've read on occasion that BMW's drive-by-wire system cuts the throttle when it detects gas and brake at the same time.

1st, is this true?

2nd, what does that do for heel/toe shifting?

Thanks.

I think that is only true on automatic cars. I have never noticed it when driving a DBW car. I have been able to heel-toe

I have heard the new 7 series does that.

The E46 does NOT. I tested it at the Performance Center.
