two E90 detailing questions

Hi all... two questions if anyone has had these issues and how they fixed them:

The passenger door handle material is flaking. I'm not sure if it can be recovered, replaced, or what.

The plastic part window trim is discoloring, I'm not sure if it can be cleaned or if it needs to be refinished / replaced (if so, how?)

Thanks!

two E90 detailing questions

1) Some of those interior trim pieces are easily and cheaply replaceable. I'm not sure if that specific piece is sold individually though. Another option would be to lightly sand the entire rubbery coating off and leave the raw plastic below.

2) Those trim pieces are removable. As an alternative, you could treat yourself and go down the shadowline route and wrap those and the window trim in glossy vinyl for less than the OE parts.

See if you can locate the parts on realoem.com

I believe eveyone has the issue with the door pull and that plastic crap coming off, it might be covered under warranty if you are within the range of warranty

Thanks! That's a really good idea, do you have a recommendation where to get the vinyl?

For the handle, I'm going to try sanding first, looks like I found the replacement handle here: http://realoem.com/bmw/showparts.do?...92&hg=51&fg=50
And I'd rather not spend the $214 if I can just sand off the flakey rubber.

Sure the $214 isn't for the horizontal leather panel?
