2012 X3 Rear Bumper Reflector

The little reflector on the left side of my 2012 X3 rear bumper fell off. Its about four inches long, and just under an inch high. Sits vertically between the left rear light, and the black bumper strip. I cant find that part on your site - where can I get one?

Thanks, Gary

Shouldn't this be covered under warranty if you are below 50 k miles?

I think it happened when I had a hitch installed awhile ago. They had to remove the bumper for that (didn't have it done at BMW), and I suspect the reflector got jarred loose and eventually fell out.

Good idea though, thanks for bringing it up.

You should still try BMW for a free replacement. Nothing to lose! Now you better hope they are not reading this discussion!

I had a hitch installed by BMW and they needed to remove the bumper cover and the reflector. Sometime after the hitch install, my reflector fell out in the car wash at BMW. When I asked them to reinstall it, it was difficult for them since there is a flexible plastic part of the bumper cover the reflector clips onto. When BMW reinstalled the bumper cover for the hitch install, they just jammed the reflector in. It held for a while but what we discovered that it wasn't properly clipped because the bumper cover flexes quite a bit where the reflector attaches. It took them quite a while to install the reflector correctly. I suspect the same thing happened to you.
